Women’s golf team ties for second-place at Capital University Purple & White Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team tied Otterbein (Ohio) College for second-place at the Capital (Ohio) University Purple & White Invitational March 30-31, which was played on the 36-hole layout of the Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne, Ohio. DePauw (Ind.) University finished in first-place.

After carding a 353 team score yesterday on the Players Club Course, Olivet had a 346 today on the Foxfire Course for a two-day total of 699 strokes. DePauw led the 14-team field with a two-day score of 654 strokes, including a 319 yesterday.
The Comets were led by freshman Megan Rimmel (Ithaca) who posted a 170 (87-83). Senior Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was next with a 175 (89-86), followed by sophomores Trisha McKim (DeWitt) and Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) at 178 (89-89) and 181 (93-88), respectively. Senior Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union) completed the Olivet starting lineup with a 189 (88-101).
The Comets return to the links Friday, April 6, when they participate in the Tri-State (Ind.) University Invitational at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola.
