Women's golf team is second at USF Cougar Invitational
The Olivet College women’s golf team placed second of six teams today at the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougar Invitational, which was played at the Fort Wayne Elks Country Club.
The Olivet College women's golf team placed second of six teams today at the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougar Invitational, which was played at the Fort Wayne Elks Country Club.
The Comets totaled a team score of 348 strokes. Bethel (Ind.) College took first-place with a 335 team score. Individually, junior Stephanie Nicolai's (Shelbyville/Wayland Union) round of 85 strokes was good enough for third-place, which placed her on the All-Tournament team.
Following Nicolai were freshmen freshman Trisha McKim (DeWitt) and Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) with an 86 and 88, respectively. Junior Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) rounded out the Olivet scorers with an 89. Sophomore Jennifer Lambarth (Saline) had a round of 90 strokes.
The Comets are now idle until Sunday and Monday, April 23-24, when they participate in the Franklin (Ind.) College Invitational at The Legends of Indiana Country Club.
