Women’s golf team finishes in 9th-place at the IWU Spring Fling
The Olivet College women’s golf team finished in 9th-place today at the Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling, which was played at the Ironwood Golf Course in Normal, Illinois. DePauw (Ind.) University was crowned the team champion after shooting a 634 team score.

After carding a 368 team score in Saturday's first round, the Comets improved by 18 strokes today for a 718 two-day score. Junior Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) led Olivet with a 173. She had a team-low 84 in today's round. Following Latimer was junior Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union) with a 176 (85-91). Freshmen Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) and Trisha McKim (DeWitt) were next with a 179 and 191, respectively. Sophomore Jennifer Lambarth (Saline) completed the Comet starting five with a 199.
Olivet will next participate in the University of St. Francis (Ind.) Invitational on Thursday, April 13. The 18-hole tournament will be played at the Fort Wayne Elks Country Club.
