Women’s golf team captures team title at MIAA Jamboree #2
The Olivet College women’s golf team carded a team score of 338 strokes en route to a first-place finish today at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Jamboree #2. The Comets hosted the jamboree at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall.

Olivet's team score was eight strokes better than runner-up Saint Mary's (Ind.) College. The Comets also shave eight strokes off the Belles' lead in the overall MIAA standings. After two jamborees, Saint Mary's has a 678, followed by Olivet at 687.
Leading the way for Olivet was junior Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union). She had an 82 to share medalist honors with Megan Mattia and Katie O'Brien from Saint Mary's.
Freshmen Trisha McKim (DeWitt) and Lindsay Pipkin (White Lake/Lakeland) had identical rounds of 85. Junior Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) was next at 86 with sophomore Amanda Sanders (Concord) rounding out the team with a 92.
The Comets will participate in the third MIAA Jamboree Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Lenawee Country Club in Adrian.
