Lady golfers begin 2004 MIAA play with third-place finish at first jamboree
The Olivet College women's golf team began 2004 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play this afternoon with a third-place finish at the first jamboree at the Hidden Oaks Golf Course.
The Olivet College women's golf team began 2004 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play this afternoon with a third-place finish at the first jamboree at the Hidden Oaks Golf Course.
Saint Mary's (Ind.) College captured the team title with a 332. Albion College was second with a 356, and the Lady Comets were one stroke behind with a 357.
Individually, Jennifer Lambarth (Saline High School) and Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) tied for third with an 83. Katie Edick (Charlotte High School) fired a 93, followed by Wendy Mickelwait (Middleville/Thornapple Kellogg High School) and Amanda Sanders (Concord High School) with a 98 and Stephanie Pott (Kalamazoo/Mattawan High School) with a 99.
The Comets are next in action when they travel to participate in the annual Jon Spiess Memorial Invitational hosted by Defiance College at the Ironwood Golf Course in Wauseon, Ohio.
