Women’s golf team finishes in second-place at NCAA-NAIA Invitational
The women’s golf team finished in second-place (out of seven teams) today at the NCAA-NAIA Invitational hosted by Bethel (Ind.) and Saint Mary’s (Ind.) colleges. The challenged was played at the Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana.
The women’s golf team finished in second-place (out of seven teams) today at the NCAA-NAIA Invitational hosted by Bethel (Ind.) and Saint Mary’s (Ind.) colleges. The challenged was played at the Knollwood Country Club in Granger, Indiana.
The Lady Comets had a team-score of 344 strokes to finish behind Saint Mary’s, who had a 330. Tri-State (Ind.) University was third with a 369. Individually, sophomore Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) tied for second with an 83.
Junior Katie Edick (Charlotte), sophomore Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union) and freshman Stephanie Pott (Kalamazoo Mattawan) all fired a round of 87 strokes. Freshmen Jennifer Lambarth (Saline) and Amanda Sanders (Concord) were next with a 92 and 93, respectively. Amanda London (Marshall) played as an individual and shot a 101.
Olivet will next compete Friday-Saturday, April 15-16, at the Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling at the Ironwood Golf Course.
