Lady golfers finish in sixth-place at MIAA Jamboree #1
The Olivet College women's golf team finished in sixth-place today at the first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) jamboree at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall. The jamboree was hosted by Albion College.

The Lady Comets carded a team score of 385 strokes, and trailed fourth-place Alma College by just three strokes. Hope College won with a score of 343 strokes and defending league champ Saint Mary's (Ind.) College was second at 345.
Individually, freshman Kristy Latimer (Battle Creek/Harper Creek High School) shot a 92 and tied for 15th-place overall to lead Olivet. Sophomore Wendy Mickelwait (Middleville/ Thornapple Kellogg High School) tied for 20th with a 94, sophomore Katie Edick (Charlotte High School) tied for 28th with a 98 and freshman Lindsey Struble (Battle Creek/ Harper Creek High School) tied for 32nd with a 101. Freshman Stephanie Nicolai (Shelbyville/Wayland Union High School) and freshman Amanda London (Marshall High School) rounded out the team with a 104 and 116, respectively.
Olivet will participate in the second MIAA Jamboree on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Ind. Saint Mary's is the host.
