ALMA, Mich. – The University of Olivet softball team closed out the 2025 season with two run-rule losses to Alma College, 17-0 and 12-0, in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) doubleheader at Scots Park.

GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Scots scored 17 runs over the first three innings, with eight in the first, seven in the second and two in the third. The Comets' best chance to score a run came in the fifth inning when they loaded the bases before two strikeouts ended the inning.
- Olivet had just four hits, including two by freshman Alisha Gahn. Sophomore Haylie Wenke and freshman Avery Lowell tallied the other two hits. In the circle, freshman Cayla Konop suffered the loss after giving up all 17 runs (12 earned) on 14 hits and four walks over the four innings.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Scots pushed across at least one run in each of the five innings – three in the first, one in the second, five in the third, one in the fourth and two in the fifth.
- Gahn was 2-for-2, with Olivet's only two hits. She was also the losing pitcher, allowing nine runs (four earned) on 12 hits over the first four innings. Senior Briana Gitchell pitched an inning of relief.
