Men’s Volleyball: Olivet posts 1-1 record at Judson Tournament

ELGIN, Ill. – The University of Olivet men's volleyball team had a 1-1 record today at the Judson (Ill.) University Tournament inside the Lindner Fitness Center. The Comets began the day with a three-set sweep over Midway (Ky.) University, ended the day with a four-set loss to Indiana Institute of Technology.

• Final Score: Olivet defeated Midway 25-23, 32-30, 27-25

• Records: Olivet 4-14 overall, Midway 6-15 overall

• Olivet totaled 41 kills in the match.
• Senior Quinn Dickerson tallied 16 kills to go along with three blocks.
• Senior Everett Haynes had seven kills and three solo blocks.
• Senior Kai Hartman recorded 30 set assists.
• Senior Deontay Thomas recorded a team-high seven digs.

• Final Score: Indiana Tech defeated Olivet 25-14, 22-25, 25-19, 25-22

• Records: Olivet 4-15 overall, Indiana Tech 8-1 overall

• Olivet slammed down 35 kills.
• Dickerson led the Comets with 15 kills.
• Freshman Ke'Shon Johnson was next with seven kills.
• Hartman dished out 28 set assists and served three aces.
• Thomas tallied 11 digs.

• The Comets start Midwest Collegiate Volleyball League play next Friday with a match at University of Mount Union (Ohio). The first serve is scheduled for 7 p.m.
