Butler selected MIAA Field Athlete of the Week
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College sophomore Jordon Butler has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Comets’ first outdoor meet of the season.
FREELAND, Mich. – Olivet College sophomore Jordon Butler has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Field Athlete of the Week for his performance at the Comets' first outdoor meet of the season.
Butler took first-place in the long jump (22 feet, 1 inch) and placed fifth in the javelin throw (124 feet, 4 inches) at the Comet Invitational. His winning mark in the long jump ranks first in the MIAA this spring. Butler also ran on the 4x100-meter (42.78 seconds) and 4x400-meter (3:34.40) relays, which scored second-place points.
Olivet is back in action Friday at the Spring Thaw, hosted by Albion College.
