Men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams finish in third-place at Goshen (Ind.) Invitational
Both the Olivet College men’s and women’s outdoor track and field teams finished in third-place (out of five schools) today at the Goshen (Ind.) College Invitational. Bethel (Ind.) College was the team champion for the men and women.

Freshman Raynard Hamilton (Jackson) was the highest finisher on the men's side as he took top honors in the 100-meter dash. Freshman Lonnie White (Battle Creek/Central) was third in the 100-meter hurdles, while junior Randy Place (Bellevue) placed third in the 400-meter dash.
In field events, junior Bobby Horton (Charlotte) was the runner-up in the discus throw. Junior Josh Beischer (Capac) finished in fourth-place in the shot put.
On the women's side, the Comets recorded three second-place finishes and one third-place finish. Sophomore Donna Cripe (Vermontville/Maple Valley) clocked-in second in the 100-meter dash. Freshman Mackenzie Heator (Union City) and junior Courtney Ivan (Belleville) was second in the long jump and javelin throw, respectively. Earning third-place honors was freshman Tonia Ramsey (Battle Creek/Harper Creek) in the discus throw.
Olivet travels to Alma to opens its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule Wednesday, April 5. Tri-State (Ind.) University is also participating in the double dual meet.
