Men’s tennis team, two players receive ITA academic honors

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Olivet College men's tennis team and two individuals – Austin Briggs and Tyler Nobel have received academic honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

With its 3.30 GPA, the Comets received the ITA All-Academic Team award. To be selected for this award, a team must have a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale).

Briggs and Nobel have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes for the 2018-19 academic year. To be bestowed this honor, the player must be a varsity letterwinner, have at least a 3.50 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) for the academic year, and enrolled at present school for at least two semesters.
