Four Olivet College student-athletes – freshman Kellen Beckwith (Farmington Hills/North Farmington), junior Shawn Bergman (Chelsea), junior Steven Davis (Davidsville, Md./DeMatha) and senior Dustin Meisner (Temperance/Erie Mason) – have been named to the 2008 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men’s Swimming/Diving Team.
The Olivet College men’s swimming and diving team has finished in second-place at the 2008 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships Saturday night, which was held at the Holland Aquatic Center. The Comets had 504.5 points, which was only 38.5 points behind Hope College.

The Olivet College men’s swimming and diving team won 9-of-13 events to beat Albion College, 132-100, today at the Dean Aquatic Center in Albion. In addition to their nine first-place finishes, the Comets had eight runner-up performances.

The Olivet College men's and women's swimming and diving teams split a dual meet with Calvin College Friday night at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. The dual results were extracted from a quad meet with Denison (Ohio) and Wayne State Universities. The Olivet men defeated Calvin, 175-60, while the Olivet women dropped a 200-30 decision to Calvin.
