Men’s soccer: Comets edge Albion, 2-1
The Olivet College men’s soccer team got revenge from a loss earlier this season to Albion by beating the Britons, 2-1, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.

OLIVET, Mich. – The Olivet College men's soccer team got revenge from a loss earlier this season to Albion by beating the Britons, 2-1, today at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet.
After there was no score in the first half, the teams lit up the scoreboard in a short span in the second half. The Comets went ahead 1-0 at the 47:07 mark when senior Zach Schulz converted a penalty kick goal.
Albion answered 36 seconds later. Junior Cory Werner-Hoskins put Olivet up 2-1 with an unassisted tally in the 54th minute.
For the game, the Comets took nine shots, placing five on-frame. Schulz, sophomore Gregory Petty and junior Jared Wilson-Santos each had two shots. Senior Alex Lang played all 90 minutes in goal and made two saves.
Olivet travels to play Trine (Ind.) University next Wednesday, Oct. 15, at 4 p.m.
