Felsing and May earn All-Central Region honors

Olivet College men's soccer players Ethan Felsing (Mason) and Mike May (Mason) have earned All-Central Region honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. May is a second-team selection, while Felsing is a third-team selection. The All-Central region teams are selected from schools in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin, Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Northern Athletics Conference, St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and three independent central region teams.
Felsing started all 20 games in goal for the Comets, posting a 0.73 goals against average (GAA). He allowed just 14 goals in 1,718 minutes of action, while making 102 saves. Felsing had nine shutouts. In the final NCAA rankings, he was 11th in saves percentage (.879).
For the third consecutive year, May led Olivet in scoring, recording four goals and seven assists for 15 points. Three of his goals were game-winners. He also topped the team with 56 shots, including 24 on-goal.
Olivet finished the 2009 season with an 11-6-3 overall record.
