Men’s soccer team shutout by Albion, 3-0
The Olivet College men’s soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Albion College, 3-0, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Albion.

The Olivet College men's soccer team was shutout by Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Albion College, 3-0, this afternoon at Alumni Field in Albion.
Albion took a 2-0 halftime lead, scoring a goal in the 28th and 43rd minutes of play. The Britons added a third goal in the 50th minute. The Comets had a chance to get on the scoreboard in the 63rd minute, but a penalty kick by sophomore Josh Van Wagner (Jackson/Lumen Christi) was stopped by the Albion goalkeeper.
The Britons (8-9-1, 7-5-1 MIAA) had a 17-13 advantage in shots; however, each each team finished with seven shots on-goal. Olivet (6-13, 4-19 MIAA) was led by freshman Robert Ching (Ovid/Ovid-Elsie), who took four shots. Four other Comets had two shots a piece. In goal, sophomore keeper Ethan Felsing (Mason) made four saves.
Olivet will wrap-up the 2007 season Saturday when it hosts Adrian College at 2 p.m.
