Men’s soccer team loses to Kalamazoo, 2-1
The Olivet College men’s soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College this afternoon in Olivet.

The Olivet College men's soccer team suffered a 2-1 loss to Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) foe Kalamazoo College this afternoon in Olivet.
The Comets (3-6, 2-1 MIAA) struck first at the 28:28 mark. Junior Trent Bronsink (Byron Center/South Christian) fed the ball to the feet of senior Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc), who put the ball into the back corner of the goal.
The Hornets (4-4-1, 3-0 MIAA) tied the game with a goal in the 33rd minute. The game remained 1-1 at halftime. Kalamazoo scored what proved to be the game-winner in the 71st minute.
For the game, the Hornets had a 12-7 advantage in shots; however, the Comets had a 5-4 edge in shots-on-goal. Pringle led Olivet with four shots, all on-goal. Senior goalkeeper Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids) played the entire game and made two saves.
Olivet returns to the field Saturday, Oct. 1, when it hosts Hope College at 2 p.m.
