Men's soccer team falls to Ohio Dominican, 2-1, in double overtime
The Olivet College men’s soccer team fell to Ohio Dominican University, 2-1, in double overtime tonight at the Ohio Wesleyan University adidas® Invitational in Delaware, Ohio. The Comets (0-3) will play the host Battling Bishops tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m.

The Olivet College men's soccer team fell to Ohio Dominican University, 2-1, in double overtime tonight at the Ohio Wesleyan University adidas® Invitational in Delaware, Ohio. The Comets (0-3) will play the host Battling Bishops tomorrow evening at 7:30 p.m.
The Panthers jumped out to a 1-0 lead with a penalty kick goal in the 17th minute. Olivet tied the game at 1-1 on an unassisted goal by senior Gabe Pringle (Grand Blanc) in the 24th minute. The game remained deadlocked at 1-1 through the second half and the first overtime session. Ohio Dominican scored the game-winning goal with nine seconds left in the second overtime period.
For the game, the Panthers ad a 20-12 advantage in shots. Olivet senior goalkeeper Will Drogt (Kewadin/Elk Rapids) played the entire game, 109 minutes and 51 seconds, and made five saves.
Following tomorrow's game, Olivet will travel to play Saginaw Valley State University Wednesday, Sept. 14, at 6 p.m.
