The Olivet College men's soccer team fell to non-conference foe Huntington (Ind.) College, 2-1, today at the Olivet soccer field.
Huntington scored first in the sixth minute on an unassisted goal by Paulo Moniz. With just under four minutes to go in the first half, senior midfielder Eric Cole (Eaton Rapids High School) scored on a pass from sophomore Rudy Pulido (Holt High School). Moniz scored the game-winning goal in 79th minute.
The Fighting Comets had 20 shots, including seven by Cole. Freshman Brad McCormack (Marshall High School) added four shots. In goal, freshman Brad Polcyn (Marshall High School) faced 14 shots and made nine saves.
Olivet (1-5) will next play on Wednesday, Sept. 24 when it hosts Kalamazoo College at 4 p.m. The game is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association opener for the Comets.
