Men’s Golf: Olivet takes ninth at Forest Hills Fall Invitational

RICHMOND, Ind. –The University of Olivet men's golf team was ninth at the 2023 Forest Hills Fall Invitational, hosted by Earlham (Ind.) College and played at the Forest Hills Country Club.

• The Comets shot a two-round total of 673 (340-333) strokes.
• Franklin (Ind.) College captured the team title with a 602 (293-309).
• Troy Loughry from Point Park (Pa.) University earned medalist honors with a 144 (68-76).

• Freshman Brady Applegate shared seventh-place in the player standings, as he had a 77 in the first round and 76 in the second round for a 153 total. Today's round included three birdies.
• Junior Connor Jewell had back-to-back 84s for a 168.
• Junior Dylan Beck carded a 171, including a career-low 81 in the second round.
• Freshman Noah LaValley shot a 181 (89-92).
• Sophomore Mitchell Bair-Pollard rounded out the Comet lineup with a 189 (95-94).

• Olivet begins Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play Tuesday at the Cascades Golf Course in Jackson. Albion College is the host school, and the round starts at 11 a.m.
