Men’s Golf: Olivet finishes 18th at Ken Venturi Invitational

ANGOLA, Ind. –The University of Olivet men's golf team placed 18th at the 2023 Trine (Ind.) University Ken Venturi Invitational, played at the Zollner Golf Course.

• The Comets shot a 331 team score.
• Calvin University won the team title with a 279.
• Mark Civanich from Trine was the individual medalist with a five-under par 66.

• Freshman Brady Applegate tied for 30th of 110 golfers with a four-over par 75.
• Freshman Noah LaValley carded an 83.
• Freshman Zachary Lull was a stroke behind with an 84.
• Junior Connor Jewell shot an 86.
• Sophomore Mitchell Bair-Pollard was next with an 87.
• Junior Dylan Beck finished with an 89.

• The Comets are off until Saturday and Sunday, September 16-17, when they compete at the Forest Hills Fall Invitational. Earlham (Ind.) College is the host school and the two-day tournament is at the Forest Hills Country Club in Richmond, Indiana.
