Men’s golf team finishes ninth at Bluffton Spring Invitational

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After posting a 334 team score in Saturday's first round, the Comets had a 339 team in Sunday's second round for a 673 two-day total.
- College of Wooster (Ohio) and Tiffin (Ohio) University's "B" team tied for first-place with 620s.
- Colton Vincelette from Tiffin was the individual medalist with a 145 (73-72).
FOR THE COMETS
- Sophomore Liam Carter and junior Wes Darrow shot matching 163s to lead Olivet. Carter had Olivet's best 18-hole score of the tournament with a 77 in the first round.
- Freshman Connor Jewell was next with a 168. In today's second round, he carded a season-best 79. The round included two birdies on the front nine.
- Sophomore Blake McLane carded a 182.
- Freshman Dylan Beck completed his two rounds in 200 strokes.
UP NEXT
- Olivet is off until Saturday, April 9, when it participates in the Trine (Ind.) University Invitational at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola.
