Men’s golf team starts MIAA play with eighth-place finish at first league jamboree
ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men’s golf team started off its 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule by placing eighth at the first league jamboree. Albion College was the host and the outing was at the Duck Lake Country Club.

ALBION, Mich. – The Olivet College men's golf team started off its 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) schedule by placing eighth at the first league jamboree. Albion College was the host and the outing was at the Duck Lake Country Club.

- The Comets returned to the clubhouse with a 338 team score.
- Hope College took first-place with a 295 team score.
- Parker Pickell was the individual medalist with an even par 70.
- Sophomore Blake McLane carded a career-best 81 on the par 70 course.
- Junior Wes Darrow was next at 84.
- Sophomore Kaleb Keathley completed his round in a career-low round of 85 strokes.
- freshman Connor Jewell posted an 88.
- Sophomore Liam Carter rounded out Olivet's starting five with a 90.

- The Comets are off until Saturday and Sunday, September 18-19, when they compete at the Bluffton Beaver Fall Classic. The 36-hole tournament takes place at the Bluffton Golf Club in Bluffton, Ohio.
