Men’s golf team ends season with tie for fifth at Gettig Invitational
The Olivet College men’s golf team wrapped-up its season by tying for fifth-place at the Trine (Ind.) University/Bill Gettig Invitational Tournament today at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind.
ANGOLA, Ind. – The Olivet College men's golf team wrapped-up its season by tying for fifth-place at the Trine (Ind.) University/Bill Gettig Invitational Tournament today at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Ind.
The Comets carded a 312 team to tie Trine's "B" team. Trine's "A" took first-place with a 294, following Calvin College, 305; Spring Arbor University, 308; and Owens Community College, 309. Rochester College was seventh at 328.
Olivet's top three golfers were all separated by one stroke each. Junior Nick Julian (Clinton Township/Chippewa Valley) shot a 76, while junior Ronnie Fesko (Henderson/Owosso) and senior Cameron Sich (Saginaw/Frankenmuth) were next at 77 and 78, respectively. Junior Justin Ardelean (Owosso) had a team-low 37 on the back nine, but had 44 on the front nine for an 81. Sophomore Martin Holdren (New Bremen, Ohio) finished his round in 84 strokes.
