The Olivet College men’s golf team shared fourth-place with Albion College at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree #5 today at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola, Indiana. With the finish, Olivet stays in fifth-place in the MIAA seasonal standings, two strokes ahead of Albion.

The Comets had a 304 team score to tie the Britons. The host Thunder won the jamboree at 287, followed by Hope, 290; and Calvin, 302. Adrian was sixth at 305, followed by Kalamazoo, 306; and Alma, 309.
Olivet's top four golfers were separated by just four strokes, led by junior Cameron LaFountain's (Marshall) 74. Sophomore Grant Spencer (Olivet) was one stroke behind at 75. Freshman Tyler Parkin (Alanson/Harbor Springs) had a 77, followed by junior Nick Harless (DeWitt) at 78. Freshman Justin Ardelean (Owosso) rounded out the Comets lineup with an 81.
The sixth MIAA jamboree is Monday, Sept. 28, at the Wuskowhan Players Club in West Olive. Hope is the host.
