Men’s golf team keeps win streak going with first-place finish at fourth league jamboree
The Olivet College men’s golf team continued its winning ways by taking first-place at the fourth Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) jamboree today at the Lenawee Country Club. Olivet also maintains its lead in the league’s seasonal standings.

In today's round, the Comets had a 291 team score to beat Trine (Ind.) University by one stroke. Hope was third with a 296. The rest of the team scores were Albion (302), Alma (309), Calvin (311), Kalamazoo (313) and Adrian (319). Individually, senior Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) shot a 70 to share medalist honors with Trine's Shawn Floyd and Alma's Brian Rabedioux.
Senior Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) carded a 71. Freshman Drew Lasky (Marshall) was next at 74. Senior Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael's Catholic) finished with a 76. Sophomore Nick Harless (DeWitt) completed his round in 78 strokes.
In the seasonal standings, Olivet extends its lead over Hope to 23 strokes, 1192-1215. Trine remains in third with 1,220 strokes.
The fifth league outing is next Saturday, Sept. 27 at Trine's Zollner Golf Course in Angola.
