The Olivet College men’s golf team is in 27th-place after the second round of the 2009 NCAA Division III National Championships at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. The Comets failed to be in the Top 23 after today’s round and miss the cut for the final two rounds.
The NCAA has announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the 2009 NCAA Division III National Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships. The Olivet men received one of the 27 automatic bids virtue of winning the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championship last fall. The Olivet women received one of 10 at-large berths.
The Olivet College men’s golf team finished in second-place out of nine schools assembled today for the one-day, 36-hole Spring Arbor University Invitational at the Arbor Hills Country Club in Jackson.
Senior Eric Ross (Burlington, Ontario/International) earned medalist honors, and the Olivet College men’s golf team captured the team title (out of eight schools) today at the Trine University/A.C. Eddy Invitational.

The Olivet College men’s golf team opened its spring schedule with a sixth-place finish at the two-day Denison University/Ted Barclay Invitational, which was played at the Granville Golf Club in Granville, Ohio.
The Olivet College men’s golf team captured the team title at its own tournament, The Lou Collins Classic. The two-day tournament was played on the par-71 Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek. Individually, senior Brock Gleadall (Stratford, Ontario/St. Michael’s Catholic) was the tournament medalist, and freshman Drew Lasky (Marshall) joined him on the all-tournament team.
