Men’s golf team takes third at A.C. Eddy Invitational
The Olivet College men's golf team was third of five teams yesterday (April 11) at the A.C. Eddy Invitational. Tri-State (Ind.) University hosted the one-day, 18-hole event at the Zollner Golf Course in Angola.

The Comets carded a team score of 314 strokes. Tri-State was first at 302, followed by Huntington (Ind.) University at 313. Matt Haneline from Tri-State earned medalist honors with a 70.
Leading the way for Olivet was sophomore Joe Kiss (East Leroy/Harper Creek) and senior Mike Ward (Caledonia, Ontario/McKinnon Park) as each fired a round of 77 strokes to tie for sixth-place. Freshman Justin Gusczinski (Hanover-Horton) and senior Steve Ross (Rockford) each had an 80. Freshman Justin Lesansky (LaSalle, Ontario/International) completed the Comets' lineup with a round of 84.
Olivet returns to action Friday-Saturday at the Davenport University Panther Invitational at the Thornapple Pointe Golf Club in Grand Rapids.
