Faasen named MIAA Offensive Player of the Week
Olivet College senior fullback Mick Faasen (Belding High School) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in last Saturday’s 63-62 win at Franklin (Ind.) College.
Olivet College senior fullback Mick Faasen (Belding High School) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in last Saturday's 63-62 win at Franklin (Ind.) College.
Faasen carried the ball 21 times for 194 yards and four touchdowns, which tied the single-game school record. His touchdowns came on runs of 4, 6, 33 and 71 yards as the Fighting Comets amassed a single-game school record 678 yards of total offense, including 591 rushing yards.
Olivet is next in action Saturday, Sept. 18, when it hosts Ohio Wesleyan University. Kick-off from the new Cutler Athletic Complex is at 1 p.m.
