UOlivet esports finishes spring season, Rocket League wins BEL championship

OLIVET, Mich. -- The University of Olivet esports program finished its spring season on Sunday, April 12. Here are the highlights from the season:
ECAC
- Rocket League had a standout regular season, finishing 6-1 and earning the fifth seed heading into playoffs. Olivet advanced to the quarterfinals before falling to Northwestern Michigan College.
- Super Smash Bros wrapped up its season with a 2-4 record.
- Valorant competed for the first time in program history, finishing the season with a 3-4 record.
- Tekken competed for the first time as well, closing out the season with a 3-4 record
- Fortnite also made its debut this season, delivering an impressive run to the semifinals and finishing 32nd in the nation.
- Both Rocket League and Fortnite secured their first ECAC playoff appearances in program history.
BEL (MIAA)
- Rocket League dominated the regular season with a 3-1 record, earning the first seed in playoffs and securing back-to-back BEL Rocket League Championship.
- Overwatch finished the regular season 0-4, entering playoffs as the third seed. They went on to place third at the BEL Championship.
- Rainbow Six Siege was 2-2 in the regular season, earning the second seed and ultimately placing second at the BEL Championship.
- UOlivet Esports placed second overall in BEL (MIAA).
MW46
- Rainbow Six Siege put together an impressive regular season, finishing 6-1 and securing first place in Division 5. Olivet's playoff run ended in the second round after a hard-fought match against Illinois State University.
