GAME 1 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Hornets scored two runs in the top of the first inning. The Comets responded with two runs in their part of the second inning. Junior Mikey Kuzara was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning. He hustled around the bases to score on junior Nate Droste's double to the right-center field gap. Droste then scored on junior Brody Parten's bloop single down the left field line.

Sophomore Austin Wittrock threw three innings of relief and gave up two runs on three hits. Freshman Kaleb Post pitched the ninth inning.
GAME 2 HIGHLIGHTS
- The Hornets put crooked numbers on the scoreboard in five of the seven innings, pushing across three runs in the first, two runs in the second, four runs in the third, two runs in the fifth and three runs in the sixth. The 14 runs were enough to end the game early due to the 10-run rule.

BROTHERLY MOMENT
- At the start of the second game, Mason Cook brought the lineup card to the umpires. His younger brother, Clay plays for Kalamazoo, so he brought out the Hornet lineup. In the bottom of the seventh, Clay was called to the mound to face his older brother. Mason walked on five pitches.
UP NEXT
