Kosmalski earns All-MIAA honors in baseball

OLIVET, Mich. -- Olivet College senior Ben Kosmalski (Canton/Plymouth) has earned 2011 All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) second-team honors in baseball. All-league honors are based on a player's statistics during the 28-game MIAA schedule.
Kosmalski started all 28 games at second base, leading the Comets with a .287 batting average, 25 hits, three doubles, 28 total bases, .322 slugging percentage and .374 on-base percentage. He also had a .953 fielding percentage with only six errors in 128 chances. For the entire 39-game schedule, Kosmalski had a .279 batting average to go along with a team-high 36 hits, four doubles and 40 total bases.
