Baseball wins three games against Alma

The Olivet College swept a tripleheader from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Alma College this afternoon at the Cutler Athletic Complex in Olivet. The Comets won the first game, 5-3, which was completed after being suspended April 10 because of rain. Olivet won both games of the rescheduled doubleheader by one run, 2-1 and 4-3.

The Comets won the first game, 9-1, behind a complete game pitching performance from David Pembroke (Bay City/John Glenn). Behind two complete game pitching performances, the Olivet College baseball team swept a doubleheader from Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) rival Tri-State (Ind.) University, 6-5 and 4-1, today in Olivet. Due to poor field conditions in Angola, the doubleheader was played in Olivet, so Tri-State was treated as the home team. With the sweep, the Comets win the weekend series against the Thunder.
