Baseball team drops two games at Gene Cusic Classic
The Olivet College baseball dropped a pair of games at the 2004 Gene Cusic Classic in Fort Myers, Florida. The Fighting Comets fell to Seton Hill (Pa.) University, 7-5, yesterday, Feb. 29, and Hanover (Ind.) College, 6-1, this afternoon.

Against Seton Hill, junior Brian Grappin (Flushing High School) was two-for-three with a double. Junior right fielder Matt Hurley (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario/White Pines) drove in two runs for Olivet. On the mound, junior Dustin Bolt (St. Joseph High School) picked-up the loss after pitching the first one and one-third innings. He allowed six runs (four earned) and five base hits. Freshman Brad Dragicevich (Kalamazoo Central High School) pitched the last five and two-innings and allowed one unearned run and one base hit. He struck out two batters.
Against Hanover, senior Josh Kellogg (Morley Stanwood High School) tossed a complete game but was tagged with the loss. He allowed three runs each in the fifth and ninth inning. At the plate, freshman Bo Ford (Redford/Warren Mott High School) collected two hits, including an inside-the-park home run in the seventh inning.
The Comets are next in action tomorrow, March 2 with a pair of seven inning contests. They will play Concordia (Ill.) University at 4 p.m., followed by a 7 p.m. game against Augustana (Ill.) College.
