Olivet finishes third and fifth at AHBA #3

SANDUSKY, Ohio – The University of Olivet women's and men's bowling teams finished third and fifth, respectively, at the American Heartland Bowling Association (AHBA) #3. The women bowled at Star Lanes and the men were at Cedar Lanes.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Comet women totaled 4,776 pins. Davenport University took first (5,101), followed by Shawnee State (Ohio) University (5,040). Olivet edged fourth-place Adrian College by 24 pins and fifth-place Alma College by 51 pins.
- The Comet men recorded 5,508 pins, just two behind fourth-place Bowling Green State University. Davenport took first (6,052), followed by Erie Community College (6,009) and Shawnee State (5,781). Olivet beat sixth-place Adrian by 319 pins.
FOR THE COMET WOMEN
- Freshman Brianna Fowlston was Olivet's top bowler, as she finished with 735 pins over four games to place sixth of 52 bowlers. Her games were 154, 215, 167 and 199. Sophomore Della Ancel was next with a 659 total over four games. Her best game was a 180. Sophomore Kendalyn Wilson tallied a 639, including high of 190.
FOR THE COMET MEN
- Freshman Nicholas Brown placed ninth, as he totaled 788 pins over four games. His high game was a 258, which was the third-best among all men's games. Sophomore Ryen Grigg finished with a 694 total, with a high game of 230. Freshmen Ryan Champion and Kory Nurse each bowled three games and recorded 597 and 587 totals.

- The Comets are off until Saturday, November 23, when they compete the Warrior Classic at Richfield Lanes in Flint.
