Cross Country: Olivet named to USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The University of Olivet men's and women's cross country teams have been selected to the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the 2023 fall semester.

To be eligible for this honor, the team must have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.1 or higher on a 4.0 scale, including the most recently completed grading period. Under the leadership of head coach Karen Lutzke, the Olivet women have a 3.61 cumulative GPA, and the Comet men have a 3.37 cumulative GPA. The Olivet women have received this honor for 12 of the last 13 years, and the men have a part of the list for 11 of the last 13 years.

In 2023, the USTFCCCA honored 194 men's teams and 233 women's teams in NCAA Division III. Each of the nine women's programs and eight men's programs from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) have received this recognition.
