Comets of the Week - September 30, 2024

The Female Comet of the Week is junior women’s volleyball player Jaydn Cary, of Coldwater, and graduate of Bronson High School. Last week, Cary averaged 17.5 digs in helping Olivet split two non-conference matches. In a five-set loss at Anderson (Ind.) University, she had a team-high 20 digs. Cary followed that with 15 digs in a three-set sweep at home against Ohio Christian University. In eight sets, she had only one reception error.

The Male Comet of the Week is freshman men’s golfer Zachary Pier, of Portland, and graduate of Portland High School. Pier shot a five-over par 76 to aid Olivet to a seventh-place finish at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree #2, held at the Kalamazoo Country Club.
