Comets of the Week - October 28, 2024

The Male Comet of the Week is freshman Kory Nurse, of Wellsville, New York, and graduate of Wellsville High School. Nurse totaled 1,939 pins to lead the men’s bowling team at the first two American Heartland Bowling Association tournaments. On Saturday, he had 1,094 pins over five games and on Sunday, he had a team-best 835 pins over four games to finish eighth of 111 bowlers. Nurse’s high game was 257 pins on Sunday, and he averaged 214.33 pins over his nine games.

The Female Comet of the Week is sophomore Kendalyn Wilson, of Leslie, and graduate of Mason High School. Wilson recorded an 1,867 pin total in helping the women’s bowling team at the American Heartland Bowling Association #1 and #2. At the first event, she finished third and made the all-tournament team with a 1,185 total over six games. At the second event, Wilson totaled 682 pins over four games. Her high game was a 251 at the first event, and she posted a 186.7 average over the 10
