Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - April 17, 2023

The Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is senior Jordon Brown, of Niles, and graduate of Niles High School. With a time of 21.63 seconds, Brown broke the school outdoor record in the 200-meter dash at the Siena Heights University/Don Kleinow Memorial Invitational. The record was the second-longest standing in program history, as Pat Peregoy previously held the record at 21.66 seconds on May 5, 1978. Brown also finished fourth in the long jump (22 feet, 2-1/4 inches).

The Dean Trailways Female Comet of the Week is freshman Haley Oosterhouse, of Marne, and graduate of Unity Christian High School. Oosterhouse achieved a personal best in the trap shooting competition at the Grace College Lancer Invitational, held at the Kosko Shotgun Sports Complex in Warsaw, Indiana. She broke 65 of 100 targets.
