Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - April 11, 2022

The Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is junior Jordon Brown, of Niles, and graduate of Niles High School. Brown won two events and took second in two additional events to help the men’s track & field team place fourth at the Manchester (Ind.) University Invitational. He was the winner in the 200-meter dash in 22.73 seconds and long jump at 21 feet, 1-1/4 inches. Brown finished second in the 100-meter dash in 11.23 seconds and ran the leadoff leg of the second-place 4x100-meter relay.

The Dean Trailways Female Comet of the Week is junior Gabby Jolliff, of Fowlerville, and graduate of Fowlerville High School. Jolliff won the pole vault and was fourth in the high jump to aid the women’s track & field to a fourth-place finish at the Manchester (Ind.) University Invitational. Her winning mark in the pole vault at 10 feet, 4 inches was a personal-best. In addition, Jolliff ran the second leg of the runner-up 4x100-meter relay.
