Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - March 21, 2022

The Dean Trailways Female Comet of the Week is sophomore Rayna Honsowitz, of Dowling, and graduate of Hastings High School. Honsowitz carded a 165 (81-84) to finish in 12th-place of 36 golfers at the Jekyll Island Individual Collegiate Championship. Over her 36 holes, she had two birdies, 16 pars, 13 bogies and five double bogies. The two birdies were on par 4s.

The Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is sophomore Gabriel Kirck, of Grosse Pointe Woods, and graduate of De La Salle High School. Kirck recorded a .500 batting average (6-for-12) in a three-game series at Mount St. Joseph (Ohio) University. His six hits consisted of three singles, one double and two home runs for a 1.083 slugging percentage. Kirck scored four runs and collected seven RBI.
