Dean Trailways Comets of the Week - October 4, 2021
The Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is Ta’Mar Heart-Wilkins, of Saginaw, and graduate of Saginaw High School. Heart-Wilkins helped the football team defeat Alma College, 33-10, in its first conference game of the season. He finished the game with five total tackles, including half for minus 10 yards. Two of the tackles for loss were quarterback sack, with one being in the end zone for a safety.
The Dean Trailways Female Comet of the Week is Drue Mullin, of Coldwater, and graduate of Coldwater High School. Mullin became the fifth women’s volleyball player in school history to record 1,000 career digs in an Olivet uniform. She tallied 23 digs in a four-set loss to Saint Mary’s (Ind.) College, 23 digs in a four-set win over Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.) and 12 digs in a three-set loss to Illinois Institute of Technology. Mullin also served six total aces over the three matches.
