Dean Trailways Male Comets of the Week - March 8, 2021

This week’s Dean Trailways Male Comet of the Week is the men’s indoor track & field team. With 101 points, the Comets tied for second-place at the 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships. Olivet had four event winners – Jordon Butler in the long jump, Kyle McDowell in the 400-meter dash, Denver Orlando in the pole vault, and the 4x400-meter relay team of William Reed, Tyler Peck, Jordon Brown and McDowell. In addition, the Comets posted four runner-up finishes – Brown in the 400-meter dash, Butler in the 60-meter hurdles, Jacob Smith in the shot put, and the distance medley team of Chase Mendham, Peck, Dustin Rutter and Hayden Germain. The second-place performance is the best finish at the MIAA Indoor Championships in program history.
